The best places to go in: New Hampshire: Mount Washington

The Granite State has many wonderful things to offer to people of all ages. The first places I recommend is Mount Washington. It is home of the world’s worst weather and recently held the all time highest wind speed until recently. On a gorgeous sunny day from the top of the mountain you can have 100 mile visibility and be able to see the ocean. It makes you feel like you are on top of the world. There are three ways to get to the top of Mount Washington. The first, and the easiest is to hop on the train that runs several times during the day. It brings you right to the top and then you can leave on the next train that brings you right back to your car. The second way to get up is to drive. I would not recommend this road for new drivers. It’s a steep windy road with no guard rails. Hope you’re not afraid of heights! The journey by car usually takes around 20-30 minutes depending on if you stop at the lookouts. The final way is to hike. There are some easier trails but believe me, this is no easy hike. It takes hours but when you finally get to the top and look at what you accomplished it’s an amazing feeling. When you do reach the top of the mountain there is a museum, a cafe, an old house where hikers used to camp, and of course, a gift shop. Mount Washington truly is an amazing place to visit and pretty much sums up all of New Hampshire in one view.

ps. If you do decide to drive, make sure you get the iconic, “This car climbed Mount Washington” bumper sticker.
